So happy to announce that the Autumn hair accessory line is now in the shop!  Be sure to go check it out for yourself, and feel free to heart your favorite designs:)

I've been terrible busy lately with life, KFD, and getting ready for winter, but on top of that I'm getting ready to release a brand new project which I've been planning for quite awhile now.  Be on the lookout for the latest surprise form the Wall Tent Studio!
I also just received a dressform, which has me completely enthralled... fully adjustable and pinnable, Rosemary's going to be my right hand in future.  We're planning to dive into a box of luscious wool suitings, denims, and knits which came in the mail the other day:)

Linking up today with Johanna's fashion challenge, day four - something with an autumnal print!  I'm loving my latest thrift store haul, which included this yummy plum wildflower print silk blouse and the perfect gray wool skirt.  Also loving Autumn welly-boot weather!

But most of all loving a promise that has been my strength during a difficult stretch of my journey:

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
--James 1:2-5

The thought that God gives me the trials necessary to shape me perfect and entire is an awesome and marvellous thing.  How deep is His love.

  1. You are beautiful, Kellie! And your hair...I am quite jealous. It is so long and thick and just gorgeous!! (I know, I know, thick hair is difficult to manage...but having thin, though long, hair is very frustrating.) Also...I'm trying to figure out your braid. How did you do it, exactly? It's pretty, as always.

I love all your new hair accessories and am going to order a few as soon as I can get some money out of the bank.:)

Your thrift store finds!! Why can I never have such luck?! I have been on the lookout for a wool skirt for ages...yours is lovely! It is very flattering, as is the plum blouse.

Enjoy your evening, Kellie. :) Thank you for always being an inspiration.

  2. Beautiful pictures, Kelly,!! Like something out of a fairy tale. And not a pink-and-unicorns-and-sparkles fairy tale, but a rich, ethereal, enchanting fairy tale - purple seems the ideal color for such a fairy tale. The portrait was lovely! Did you take it yourself or have you got an apprentice?
I hope tomorrow is a blessing for you!

  3. Absolutely lovely, as always!
Okay, seriously trying not to envy you that skirt...because I LOVE it. Better keep an eye on me, I might steal it...;)

  4. That blouse really suits you, Dahling--those rich Autumn tones are really flattering.

Love your skirt, too. It's sometimes hard to fine anything but hobble-skirts nowadays (and on the short side, to boot), but when you see a nice, long, flared skirt, it's a happy thing. :-D

    God bless, m'dear!

  5. Whoa, what a knock em' dead gorgeous outfit! I have to agree with Mary Beth here that you know how to find the best items while thrifting! I love those dark earthy tones of purple and green. So classical fall! The long flowing wool skirt is gorgeous too! Watch out Tasha, I am right behind you in trying to sneak off with that one!! And the way you put it all together is just perfect. You look so beautiful today in this outfit! An inspiration to all of us of how to put together basic lines into a well coordinated and stylish look. I cannot wait to get my headband with the purple/vanilla flowers and get busy in my closet coming up with something fall inspired!

  6. What a lovely post! I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it! Your outfit is so lovely in every little detail. And your hair is beautiful as always. You look just like a lovable character in a book. One you admire for her character, her gumption and her jolly attitude towards life. =] Or maybe that's just you?
    I am inspired! Thanks!

  7. Wow, love the outfit! I admire your ability to put pieces together and make something really retro-gorgeous! And not just that, but making it totally current and wearable! Love your blog and I'm encouraged by your heart for the Lord. Especially now as I really need encouragement! Keep it up, Kellie-with-an-ie!

  8. Dear Kellie,

I found your blog through Pinterest, and have been enjoying my visit here very much! I am an Idaho girl myself, although I'm from the sagebrushy-lava rocky part by Idaho Falls. We moved our family to Missouri two years ago, so it's nice to see a little bit of "back home."

I hope you are enjoying a lovely fall; your beautiful spirit certainly shines like golden aspen leaves!

    Love,

    Marqueta

  13. BEAUTIFUL!!! :D Even if I'm viewing this post "late" (VERY LATE)... it's MAY!! And I'm *MISSING* your LOOOONG hair! ;) You're *still* very pretty and extremely photogenic, with an excellent talent for "poses" and settings :) But your beautiful hair was *SO RARE* and *stunning* :) And you came up with the *prettiest* styles to wear :)
