Risen Indeed

Yesterday morning, a six mile hike on the Shoreline trail.

All of that indescribable beauty.  But somehow, my eyes and mind were more than mere admirers.  They thrilled to the joy, the challenge, the pain and love of living.  All of which are given meaning, purpose, and victory through the knowledge that my Saviour lives.  Rose from the dead, redeemed humankind - me - and extends His victory to us to live with every day we that draw breath.

Because He lives.  Oh, yes.

  2. A wonderful reminder, Kellie! Hard to remember at times, but nonetheless true. That last line reminds me of a song:

    "Because He lives,
    I can face tomorrow...."

I keep forgetting what a treasure we Idahoans have in Farragut Park! The mountains, the trees, the lake--gorgeous! I love that picture of the pine-trunk with the bulge--it's always fun to find "oddball" trees.

    God bless,

  6. Hello, Kellie!
My name is Cassy, and I have been reading your blog for over a year now, I guess! :) I am also a homeschool grad and a girl who is seeking to serve God more each day. I just wanted to finally say hi and say how encouraging you are to me and how neat it is to feel like I "know" you! :) I was kind of stressed and busy this afternoon, and I read your final line, "Because He lives. Oh, yes" and it gave me peace. =D Thank you so much for your encouraging words and living as a woman of God!
I hope your Easter was amazing, and thanks once again!

  7. That verse.

It's one of those things when you've of course read it before, but suddenly it gets a meaning. Maybe it helps that here I read it in a different translation (different language, for that matter). Although that thing simply happens with re-reading...

    Also, beautiful photos.
