October Introspection - and sugarplum tulle.

Outfit Details:

top & blouse // thrifted
Boots // Breckelles
Have you ever felt rumply?

But of course you have.  Everyone has, though they might not have been able to properly identify that complex emotion.  Because rumply is a word of my own invention.
It's a fine art to achieve a state of internal soul-rumpliness and still carry on a semi-coherent cranial analytic soliloquy. I'm working on it.

Rumpliness.  It's what I call that feeling of something touching your soul - or rather, bumping up against it.  Playing on your heartstrings, but with a clumsy and awkward hand.  An emotion to prompt greatness and fire and glory - in communication, in productivity, in life - if it weren't so utterly bewildering.  It's something that I can only communicate in so many words, and then you must recognize it's traces in your own mind to really understand.

Rumpliness and I have spent a lot of time together in the last month, marking moments in my life that I will never forget.
It's good to be back.  Back at not only trying to internally analyze the experiences, memories, aspirations of my life, but to sit down and see them in text.  My text.
It's incredible, really, to have thoughts, and thoughts about those thoughts, and then to write them all down and share them with other souls to communicate what one thinks about this whole beautiful, terrible, and wonderful thing called life.  I praise my Creator for orchestrating it all so perfectly.

In spite of the rampant rumpliness of my life the last month, I've devoted every spare minute to forwarding my dream for the Autumn 2013 collection, and am so pleased to announce the release of our newest member of the KFD tulle skirt line, the Sugarplum tulle.

It's easily my favorite color so far - dress it up to the nines to feel like a royal princess, or don rustic florals and your best pair of boots for a Kellie-inspired twist on Katniss Everdeen's adventurously capable couture.

  4. Lovely photos Kellie! I really like the new sugarplum color, it is my favorite so far too!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I know what you mean about going through times that are difficult. Sometimes it feels like life brings more than you can digest at that time, everything seems to happen all at once.

May the LORD bless and keep you!

  6. There is a saying that goes when you write it down, you can then own it and make it happen. And it turns out, there is a connection that wires the written word to the taking of actions for what direction we need to take to move forward while calming the chaos in our heads. It looks like the photo shoot of this incredible new Tulle skirt is a pretty good anecdote to Rumply. It is easy to see how this color could easily be the favorite of many! And with those boots??Perfection!

  7. Kellie! Your outfit and photos are STUNNING here!!! Such beautiful work. I had a question about your boots since I've seen them on Amazon and such. Is that where you purchased your pair? Do you like them?...are they good boots, or just okay? Seeing them on you made me want a pair but I'd like to get your thoughts on them before purchasing. :) Many blessings, Sarah

    1. Sarah, thanks! I did order these from Amazon. I really love them - they're not extremely nice, but for the price I think they look fabulous and will wear well. The quality is perfect for what my budget needed. Blessings!

  11. Oh this music is lovely! If I didn't love Safe and Sound enough on it's own, this instrumental version is excellent. <3
I've already mentioned my thoughts on your skirt. But it really is gorgeous, and bordeaux is my favorite color for fall, so it's worth restating: I positively love it. ^_^

  13. Oh Kellie! I just feel like I know you by the way you write (just like a wonderful book!) and by the pictures of outfits that are just so marvelous. Every post gives me an inside warmth of happiness by all the retro-ness of you. I just love it. I really do.
Your wall tent and trailer house seem so cozy that I would love to go visit it and you! My uncle lives in Sagle, ID which I feel like is very near to you since I think one time you said you are near to Coeur d' Alene and he is too.
Keep up your "earthy-ness" and unique retro "oldness" =)
