For Real Comfort

sweater // Tulle
maxi skirt // made by me
scarf // fabric.com
socks // made by Winnie

A sparkly gold knit maxi skirt.  Freshly fallen snow.  This beautiful song from Emma. (click play above!) The thickest, softest warmest rainbow socks knit by my friend Winnie that I've been living in lately.

And just three more days till the Literary Heroine Blog Party... three more days to be twenty one.  I've been shamelessly listening to period drama soundtracks for weeks, posting literary quotes on Google+ and twitter, listening to As You Like It while I sew, reading Georgette Heyer and Dickens in every spare moment, nibbling chocolate, and playing the piano constantly... in short,  doing everything that the most wonderful time of the year calls for.
Join me?

I declare, there's nothing like staying at home for real comfort.

  1. The bright sunny day against the snowy landscape is beautiful and perfect for catching a few rays of warmth. Yep, nothing like comfy wool socks to keep the feet warm and cozy. I have been wearing the ones I made for me when we get our cold snap days down here, which lately have been coming at regular intervals! I have been enjoying all of your quotes on google+ in preparation of the LHBP. February is the best month to delve back into all the classic favorites!

  4. Hey there Kellie!

I am wondering what you would say if you knew that my sister thrifted a skirt of almost identical nature to the one you are sporting here? You can imagine my surprise when I saw the first picture of this post; I literally thought you had some how reached into Brigi's closet and pulled it out! But yours is clave rely made by the industrious fingers of the fashionable Kellie Falconer, and hers was merely thrifted. Haha! Dispute this extreme difference, I love both yours and her's very much, and have out on green envious eyes for my fashion statement.

Much love and frilly splendors to you my friend!
