January Photo-a-Day | Week Three

Jan. 13 Assembly.
Jan. 14 The newly finished roof on the big cabin.
Jan. 15 My new KFD postcards arrived!
Jan. 16 We went adventuring above the clouds.
Jan. 17 Production.
Jan. 18 Prepping the Wall Tent Button Co for Valentines.
Jan. 19 Sunlight and blessings and afternoon Scrabble with the bro and mom.  I won.  Shocking!

I sprained my wrist last night at the swing dance, which is an ignominious story and will be retained to the fact that I ended up on the floor caught up in the folds of my little black dress.  However, the move that sent me there was awesome, so I'd say it was worth it.  Essential oils, a good epsom salt soak, and rest should put it all to rights again!  Ice, a popular option, makes me cross, so I chose to forgo that remedy...

Practice makes perfect!
I'm getting quite good at typing with my left hand.

Treasury | Radiant Orchid

Today I'm delighted to share a vibrant treasury curated by Michelle!
Radiant Orchid features Pantone's 2014 Color of the Year, the same beautiful hue, and I think captures the confidence and magical warmth that Pantone declares this expressive, creative, and embracing shade to exude.

.::. Be sure to visit this treasury on Etsy, and feel free to share! .::.♥
If you create a treasury highlighting something from the shop, be sure to let me know - it could be our next feature!

Post soundtrack:  A Pressing Need to Save the World // Murray Gold
It's January but the weather seems to have forgotten that minor fact and keeps acting like it's spring already.  It even smells like spring.  The catch is, the weather also forgot to actually melt the snow during it's play-acting, so everything is covered with solid, slick ice and a generous helping of melting snow slushy on top of that.  The driveway is absolutely treacherous, and driving on it - or even walking on it - turns even the most mild-mannered of personages into daring superheroes with a pressing need to save the world.

Or merely cross the road alive.  Sometimes, it's the same thing...  Especially when there are such epic soundtracks as this one.

The totally awesome CK vest belongs to a friend, and it's over here for alteration.  You can see the lighter gray enlargement inset on the sideseam in the pic fourth from the top.
Thanks, Robin!  And you're welcome.  Now you know just how cool your vest really is.  I think it has superpowers.

Loving this blogging/journaling medium.  Quick and to the point, but six thousand words.  More if I can't choose just one picture per day, which seemed to happen somehow...

Russian Red

I do wear clothes other than tulle skirts, I promise!  I just realized that in the last three months, I haven't done an outfit post on anything other than my own clothing for the shop.  And while doing outfit shoots for the shop is fun - so much so that I've built my business around it...  - it's also good to finally feel free and settled down again enough to post an ordinary everyday outfit just for the fun of it.

This is me today today taking a break from working in the bus on orders, with the addition of boots and jacket.  I'm liking the bold, Russian-y vibe.
Red is the perfect antidote for January.  Goodness, was it ever cold out.

Outfit Details:
Trellis knit dress // eShakti
jacket // Modcloth
beret // Eve's Leaves
boots // Sorelia Earhart
belt // f21   socks // Sock Dreams
