Welcome to my online journal - I'm so glad you stopped by!
Let me give a word of introduction, in the event of this being your first visit here.
I run this quaint and oftentime zany little corner of the blogosphere with the sanguine view of amusing, inspiring, and ultimately, edifying readers and friends.
I am an endlessly blessed farmgirl currently living at home with my family in the gorgeous mountains and valleys of rural North Idaho, striving to serve the Lord in every aspect of my life and share His love with the world.
I love to sew and create beautiful things, and am at present working on expanding my own clothing label, located at kelliefalconerdesign.etsy.com.
Christian entrepreneurship, feminine loveliness, sustainable fashion, and local industry are my vision behind this enterprise, and learning along with my business has been an amazing experience.
Adventure, aspiration, and unique beauty are the birthright of all, and with each of my designs, I strive to capture that spirit and allow you to experience it for yourself. My blog is an extension of that.
Beginning in June of 2011, I lived in a 10x12' canvas wall tent that served as my studio, bedroom, and retreat, nestled on my family's forest property. Accordions, embroidery, old books, design sketches, an electric piano, antique furniture, vintage finds, and, occasionally, a little sister or two could be found tucked away in it's quaint interior.
I learned to keep from freezing to death with my trusty wood stove during the long cold winters, and you better believe that wood was flying!
In January of 2013, I was suddenly flooded out during an unexpected warm front, combined with a disintegrated roof fly, which threatened the destruction of my home. I was able to remove to my brother's restored 1945 Beck Mainliner bus, where I now live.
The tent is again set up the Wall Tent Studio, my work space and sewing room.
Though it's scars and water stains tell an eloquent story of weatherbeaten indomitability, it still stands, a home for my hopes and dreams and precious bolts of fabric.
And oh, the rich stories those four canvas walls now hold.

I delight in studying God's Word, reading copious amounts of books, world history, working on various entrepreneurial endeavors, historical fashion and clothing design, working with horses, using far too much butter when baking, clever witticisms, foreign accents, laughing, gardening with my family, and historical dancing. I have a weakness for old books, tooled leather, fresh cherries, plaid, the color green - and my beloved pith helmet. I love to sing and play the accordion, piano, mountain dulcimer and ukulele (with more or less success). I enjoy fishing, archery and rifle shooting, am passionate about home education, and am enthralled with all things Scottish - as well as myriads of other things too numerous to mention!
Stick around awhile and you'll see how zany it can really get. Because though life isn't perfect, it is so very, very beautiful.

Most importantly, I love to be a daughter, sister, and friend.
It is my sincere hope that you will be encouraged and inspired here during your stay.
Thanks so much for visiting - come back soon!
