The Best Thing About Blogging

The best thing about blogging, for me, is getting to interact with so many wonderful people across the globe.  I have been so blessed to get to 'know' myriads of like-minded and inspiring individuals, and often think about how much fun it would be to meet you all in person!

When I got an email from Elise, who blogs at the fabulous Fleur d'Elise, saying her family would be visiting our neck of the woods and would love to get together, I was so excited!

Tasha, two of my sisters, and I cruised over to Spirit Lake Books & Coffee, along with Tasha's bro Alex who came along to look into getting his books sold there. (Look for them on the shelf!)
Libby, Elise, Ellie, Tasha and I
When these adorable sisters walked in the door, I knew we were all Kindred Spirits.  For one thing, Elise had a green dot Cath Kidston bag...!  But really, within minutes we were talking, laughing, and joking like old hands over homemade cinnamon rolls, sandwiches and milkshakes.  Libby went with me for seconds on the milkshakes... my kind of girl:) (we also share a very uncommon shoe size - woot!)

The afternoon went by way too fast, but we're scheming for another meeting before they leave, which will hopefully include some badminton, which we also all adore!

Thanks to Alex and Algy for the portraits!

  3. I'd be with you on the milkshakes! Lovely shop, indeed. Books and milkshakes? I wouldn't know what to buy first. :D

I have yet to meet most of my blogging friends, probably because most of them live on the other side of the planet Earth. It's good to know they turn out just as fine in real life as online. :-)

  4. Tasha - ;)

Winnie - it really was perfect! Such a blessing.

And Hana - who knows? Maybe someday we'll get to meet in person. That would be incredible... and we'll be sure to get milkshakes, if at all possible:)

  5. I love those girls! We met them through VF, and then they opened their home to us travel-weary Californians when we were traveling to NC a few years back. They are such gifts to the body of Christ! Not to mention true joys to be around:). I'm so glad that you were able to spend time with them!

I love your blog, it is so unique and beautiful! Such a wonderful respite on the internet. keep up the good work!

    Blessings,
    Hannah
