Mind if I ramble for awhile? Because I'm thinking of so many happy things at the moment - I wanted to share!
- Ma and Pa are both down in Ca for the week - so I get to rule the insurgent kingdom singlehandedly in their absence. Baking, sewing, napping, giggling, gardening, tidying, anointing bruises, watching movies (alright - a movie;) and the endless pondering of the question "What's for dinner?" has been my lot. It's been a relaxing, productive week.
- I solved the dinner puzzle this time by making a BakeOver - carrots, spinach, hamburger, garlic, and spices in a pan, an eggy batter poured over all, and the thing was done. And I saw that it was good.
- I have been living in my new home for over a week now! It's been wonderful. There's still so much to do to make it quite perfect, but I've been getting a little done every day. My musical instruments are all displayed on the dresser, fresh flowers from my garden are on the little carved table my dad used to finger-paint on, and - this is SO EXCITING - I have a computer set up! It's not quite running, but thanks to Aubrey's efforts, it should be soon. And then. . . well, you'll see. But it's going to be good. =D
- Tasha and Alex came over this afternoon. We went on a hike, threw daisies at each other (Aubrey ripped up an entire daisy bushand started sword fighting... things went fast after that;) Tasha and I looked through my Great-Grandma's (G.G.) photo album. Played badminton, then we all sat on my front porch and made some music. It was so nice!
- I love this Color Palette Generator! It's just too fun. Try it - it looks indispensable to graphic design!
- I made a vintage-pattern dress today. It's green, with double-breasted brass snaps. And a lace-trimmed Armistice-style collar. And a pleated skirt. I think it's my favorite project ever.
Pictures coming soon!
- This Vintage Hanky Bunting is tooo sweet. I want one of my own=)
- And lastly, the thought that makes me most happy of all -
"Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."
-Psalms 150
Praise the Lord!
