Another birthday memory is from my childhood. There was this really good Chinese restaurant in the town we lived in at the time. ReplyDeleteHm... would have been my 18th. I bought a special pattern and made a Regency dress, then sat all day with my wonderful family and watched Austen classics. I spent a whole week making an amazing castle cake and kisses roses for each of my family members. A lot of work, but all worth it! :)
One of my most memorable birthdays was two years ago on my 21st birthday. I had come home from school to enjoy the occasion with my family and some close friends. After a nice supper, we had settled into the living room for some games, when suddenly my parents brought an enormous box into the room. It was wrapped in fabric, and as I slid the fabric away, I realized that it was a new sewing machine. I never saw it coming, but it was one of the best surprises of my life!

ReplyDeleteEvery year my church hosts a week long conference for young people. My birthday just happens to fall during that week. I love celebrating with friends from all over the country.
I really don't have a specific favorite birthday memory. I love some of our traditions, though, which include going out for breakfast with my daddy and choosing what we eat for supper.
ReplyDeleteI love the Rapunzel embroidery pattern from Little Dorrit and Co, the "Serve one another" spoon from For Such a Time as This, the Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworh bookmark set from Antique Fashionista, the Persuasion scarf from Storiarts, the See Jane Read poster from Wander Wowl, the Emma Woodhouse print from Audery Eclectic Shop, the "Without music, life would be a mistake" necklace from Bookish Charm, and Jane Austen book purse from Novel Creations.
