That's what I'm talking about - sunlight that dapples the canvas walls of my home every early evening, in the golden hour.
It fills my heart with inexpressible joy.
Lilacs and cream sodas and black and white keys, while a more transient pleasure, do that too.
Currently reading The Graphic Design Exercise Book... lots to learn and enjoy there.
P.S. We just took a trip to the top of the world... can't wait to share pictures<3
I just found your blog through Pinterest from following down an embroidery rabbit hole. I'm really not that much of a blog reader, but I actually got excited just reading your interests. 1st, Jesus, oh YEA! Then as your list went on, I'm thinking, me too, I like that, and that, and that! So I look forward to attempting following you young lady. Write on! :) Jane
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by, Jane! I'm thrilled that you've enjoyed your stay here, and hope to keep in touch!

The photos here of the dappled light are almost surreal. Part fairy tale like but very, very real. Beautiful. Summer inspired. Dreamy. Perfect setting to enjoy a black cherry cream soda and do just about anything including just day dreaming in the rocking chair!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! You're a talented photographer, and your wall tent is lovely. :) As for the lilacs...I'm jealous. I never came across any this year, and they're one of my favorite flowers!
ReplyDeleteI pinned two of your photos to Pinterest....I hope you don't mind. If you do, let me know and I'll take them down.
So lovely!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! It must be cooler up there. Our lilacs bloomed at least a month ago. I miss them.
Thanks so much, Victoria! I'm happy I could share my lilacs with you:) You're more than welcome to pin from my blog - Pinterest is a fabulous tool!
ReplyDeleteKimberley - I confess, these pics are from about two weeks ago... and they're a bit faded at that. I miss them, too... some of my favorites!
Sounds simply lovely! It looks so romantic, old-fashioned, and quaint, in all of Anne Shirley's sense of the word.
ReplyDeleteDoes it get real hot in your wall tent in the summer, or does it stay pretty pleasant? I just thought about that because where I live it is in the high 90's and low 100's in the summer. And because our lilacs bloomed early April this year and by May they were gone completely.
Have a lovely day,
~Molly
Actually, it's the coolest place around in the summer! It gets pretty warm on the hottest days, but there's always a bit of a breeze and shade from the trees around.
ReplyDeleteAnd where we are, the 90's is really, really hot. Which is fine with me - I'm definitely a cool weather person:)
Mmm. Black Cherry Cream Soda sounds delicious. :)
ReplyDeleteIf only it didn't have so much sugar. :)
With love in Christ,
