Oh, hello. How are you?
I would tell you how I am, except that I really don't know - how would you be, say, if you had about eight hours of sleep in the last forty-eight hours, you feel incredibly sleepy, cozy, and excited all at once, and your ankle was sprained? Not to mention you are sitting by a blazing fire with an adorable cat in your lap.
The word just came to me. Blessed.
I am so blessed, and the realization is breaking over me afresh like a wave.
I spent the last hours of the old year (and the first hour or so of the new) at the home of some dear friends down the road, along with a wonderful gathering of friends and family. My brother and I drove over with our second littlest sister, as everyone else felt they needed sleep more than anything:)
I tried ice skating for the first time in ages, and it was wonderful! I absolutely love it.
However, I promptly sprained my ankle, fettering myself to a chair the rest of the evening... nothing a few days won't cure:)
We played NI Pictionary, laughed, chatted, ate, and of course went down to the pond for some skating and a bonfire. Just before midnight, we gathered around the piano to sing Auld Lang Syne, then counted down the seconds to a new year. Jokes were cracked... "It's been a whole year since I saw..." "Good morning, everybody!" "Hey, it'll take me till June to remember the right date in my journal!"
Good times=)
Hey, what do you think of the new look? I've been trying to get it up for the last week, but I had to figure out the bug in my Blogger layout page - all of my widgets had disappeared! I could not figure out how to get them back - everything was still showing up in the blog, but there was no way to edit them. In desperation, I scoured the help forums, and finally figured it out this morning - a little 'display:none' was my bane, hiding out in the CSS. I was ecstatic when everything showed up again!
So, here's my new year's makeover. Much as I love and adore green, I wanted something different for a change, and fell in love with this pink and robin's egg on canvas look. Now you can imagine the walls of my room when you see my blog;)
I pray that this year will be the most amazing, full, and blessed year you and I have ever had.
Lovingly,
--Kellie

ReplyDeleteYes! I do like the new layout! It loads much faster. I miss the beautiful winter landscape you had for your winter banner, but the accordion is beautiful too.

ReplyDeleteWe spent New Year's Eve playing games, too. It's a good way to spend it, I think.
